LANSING — New reporting from Michigan Advance reveals Mike Rogers’ “unwillingness to be questioned” by UAW members regarding his record and policy positions caused a “strained relationship with him when he was last in Congress,” to the point that Rogers refused to meet with the union’s members at all. As a result, UAW members reported they “spent more time with the trash can outside Rogers’ office” than they did with Rogers himself — and they have the picture to prove it:

“Mike Rogers was so dismissive of autoworkers when he was in Congress that he treated UAW members like literal trash,” said Michigan Democratic Party spokesperson Joey Hannum. “Rogers has only ever been out for himself and the corporate special interests cutting him checks, not Michiganders, and he would continue his blatant disrespect of working people if he were in the U.S. Senate.”
