LANSING — While gas prices are skyrocketing and Michiganders are stretching their paychecks, here’s what out-of-touch GOP Senate candidate Mike Rogers is focused on: giving himself an “AI He-Man makeover.”
Rogers was widely mocked yesterday after one of his paid political operatives tried to pass off a clearly AI-doctored photo of Rogers to “make him look buff.” Critics across the political spectrum panned the move as “humiliating” and “so embarrassing my cringe has cringe.”
“If you thought that Mike Rogers would be focused on addressing Michiganders’ concerns about skyrocketing gas prices and surging healthcare costs, you evidently would be wrong,” said Michigan Democratic Party spokesperson Joey Hannum. “Unfortunately for Price Hike Mike, AI can’t change the fact he’s been telling Michiganders they should be ‘fine’ paying more at the gas pump and threatening to spike their healthcare costs even higher. Michiganders deserve a serious leader who’s focused on lowering their costs—not whatever the hell Mike Rogers is doing.”

In response to yesterday’s criticism, Rogers’ campaign doubled down by posting another AI-generated video of what Rogers would seemingly have looked like if he had decided to become a WWE wrestler after leaving Congress, instead of his current career path of using the revolving door to get rich as an advisor for “companies that have partnered with Chinese firms.”
