DETROIT — In response to Eli Savit’s election as Michigan’s next Attorney General, Michigan Democratic Party Chair Curtis Hertel released the following statement:

“Eli Savit has spent his career standing up to powerful people and institutions that prey on others. Whether it’s a corporation exploiting workers, a predator abusing their power, or an administration trampling on our rights, Eli doesn’t back down.

“At a time when Michiganders are facing threats to their freedoms and economic security, we need an Attorney General who will use every tool available to fight back. Eli has the courage, conviction, and record to do just that. I know he’ll stand up for Michigan—and I feel safer with him as our next Attorney General.”
