DETROIT — Michigan Democratic Party Chair Curtis Hertel released the following statement tonight after Christina Hines won the Democratic primary in Michigan’s 10th Congressional District:
“Christina has spent her career fighting for justice and for the people too often left behind by the system. She built her career as a prosecutor handling some of the state’s toughest cases and serving as an advocate for survivors of sexual assault and abuse. As a working mom raising three kids in Macomb County, she knows firsthand the pressures facing Michigan families — and she’s running for Congress to fight for them.
“Michigan Democrats couldn’t be prouder to stand behind her. MI-10 is one of the most competitive districts in the country, and Christina Hines is exactly the leader we need who can flip this seat and deliver real results for working people.”
