SHOT/CHASER: Democrats Working to Lower Costs While GOP Proposes Hiking  Taxes on Working Families 

Thanks to President Biden’s American Rescue Plan and the leadership of Governor Whitmer, working families across the Great Lakes State are benefitting from more affordable housing options, paying less for health insurance, and have more options for child care than ever before. 

While Democrats remain laser-focused on passing legislation that will lower costs, create jobs, and cut taxes for working people, Republicans have proposed an agenda that would hike taxes on nearly 40 percent of the state, including half of our small business owners, and put Social Security and Medicare at risk for our most vulnerable communities.
