No Surprise: James Won’t Say If He’ll Be At Pence Rally Despite Campaigning Together During Failed 2018 Race
In the latest example of his ongoing effort to hide from Michiganders, failed US Senate candidate John James has refused to say whether he’ll actually be at West Michigan events with Vice President Mike Pence.
Like the rest of the damaging comments he’s tried to delete, James cannot hide from these comments or his damaging record, including supporting efforts to strip away protections for Michiganders with pre-existing conditions and rigid and uncompromising anti-choice proposals which are a major liability.
James and Pence are cut from the same cloth and no amount of evasion will convince Michiganders not to reject their reckless agenda.
“Mike Pence’s endorsement didn’t exactly pay off for John James in his last failed election,” said Michigan Democratic Party Chair, Lavora Barnes. “It’s no surprise that Pence is back to campaign for James again, though — the two share a playbook of toxic priorities that would be devastating for Michigan families, and today’s event serves as a reminder that no matter how much John James tries to delete his record and evade scrutiny, he’s still the same out-of-touch politician who Michiganders rejected just last year.”
