Trump’s Failed COVID-19 Response: President Accuses Health Care Workers of Selling PPE

LANSING– In his latest desperate attempt to cover for his failed COVID-19 response, Donald Trump blamed health care workers for shortages in personal protective equipment his erratic management has failed to address.

After being questioned on his administration’s failures to deliver PPE to health care workers on the front line fighting a global pandemic, Trump accused them of selling life saving face masks, implying they’re “going out the back door.” His accusations against health care workers come after Trump called COVID-19 a “hoax” and just days after Michigan nurses raised the alarm saying, “we are completely out of resources.”

“Donald Trump continues to attack brave nurses and doctors on the front line of fighting a pandemic in a desperate attempt to cover for his failed and erratic COVID-19 response,” said Michigan Democratic Party spokesman Christian Slater. “This administration is failing Michigan health care workers with devastating consequences.”
