LANSING — A recent poll shows Donald Trump’s numbers drowning under a flood of bad news in the Great Lakes State.
According to the Morning Consult poll released yesterday, Trump’s approval rating is sinking quickly, down 20 points since he took office with a net -11 approval. The falling numbers come as Trump has desperately flailed for a reelection message after breaking promise after promise to Michigan voters. Trump has seen increasingly bad economic news in Michigan, with Ford and U.S. Steel both announcing layoffs, General Motors closing a plant, and almost half of Americans now disapproving of his handling of the economy.
