LANSING — Following the second U.S. Senate debate between Congresswoman Elissa Slotkin and Revolving Door Mike Rogers, Michigan Democratic Party Chair Lavora Barnes issued the following statement:
“Tonight, Michigan voters saw a clear contrast between Congresswoman Elissa Slotkin who has dedicated her life to serving her country, and Mike Rogers who enriched himself at Michiganders’ expense. Rogers tried to defend Betsy DeVos and her plan to gut Michigan public schools, lied about his extensive record of supporting dangerous abortion bans, and once again made clear he will stand in the way of border solutions to score political points. Rogers is only in this race to benefit himself and his wealthy special interest backers, and that’s why Michigan families can’t trust him to represent us.”
