LANSING — Following the US Supreme Court ruling on the consolidated cases Idaho v. United States and Moyle v. United States, Chair of the Michigan Democratic Party Lavora Barnes released the following statement:
“The fact is, life-saving care should never be up for debate. Anti-abortion extremists are attempting to roll back all the progress we have made for health care and the safety of our families – which is exactly what’s at stake in this election.
“Thanks to Democrats in Michigan, we have protected access to abortion, but our reproductive freedom and right to emergency care will still be under great threat if Donald Trump and his MAGA allies are elected in November. That’s why we must remain vigilant and elect strong reproductive freedom allies up and down the ballot.”
