CHICAGO — Tonight, Vice President Kamala gave her keynote address at the end of the DNC’s fourth night, which included our own Governor Gretchen Whitmer and Congresswoman Elissa Slotkin. After four joyful days of convention, Vice President Kamala Harris concluded with a call to action to help her create the future we deserve by electing her this fall. With the conclusion of the DNC, Chair of the Michigan Democratic Party Lavora Barnes released the following statement:
“This convention embodied the very best of what Democrats have to offer — hope over hate, coming together for a common purpose, and building a brighter future for everyone. Over the past four days, we have heard from leaders and seen a vision of what the future of this country can be.
“With Kamala Harris as our nominee, we will protect abortion access, make our schools safer, and create an economy that works for everyone. As Vice President Harris says, ‘We’re not going back.’
“The joy that is at the heart of this campaign will drive Michiganders from now until election day as we fight to make Vice President Harris’s vision for the future a reality.”
