STATEMENT: MDP Congratulates Osceola County Dems for Forming a Democratic Party For the First Time in Nearly a Decade

LANSING — Following the news that Democrats in Osceola County have formally established a County Party organization and elected new leadership, Chair of the Michigan Democratic Party Lavora Barnes released the following statement:

“We are incredibly excited to work with Osceola County Democrats in the coming election cycle and I am so thankful for their commitment and hard work to establish this organization. Standing together and building coalitions across the state is how we ensure Democrats can keep building on the incredible progress we have made in the last two years. Democrats are ready to take on MAGA Republicans in Osceola County and across the state as we fight for a brighter future for all Michiganders.”

Over the weekend, Osceola County Democrats elected Chair Tracy Busch, Vice Chair Jay Pozner, Secretary Kathy Fiebig, and Treasurer Jim Winslow. We are thrilled that this group of hard-working Democrats is organizing and ready to fight for Michiganders in the 2024 election cycle and beyond.
