Michigan Dems Chair marks the start of early voting with former First Lady Michelle Obama and Vice President Harris
LANSING — Today, former First Lady Michelle Obama will join Vice President Kamala Harris on the West Side to energize Michiganders as early in-person voting begins across the state. Ahead of their rally, Chair of the Michigan Democratic Party Lavora Barnes released the following statement:
“Today, Kamala Harris and Michelle Obama will remind voters of what’s at stake in this election and kick off the start of early voting. Thanks to Michigan Democrats, voters now have nine days to cast their ballots in person and make their voices heard in the most important election of our lifetime.
“Kamala Harris and Michelle Obama will highlight how Trump’s radical agenda for a second term would threaten reproductive rights, raise costs for working families, and put our democracy at risk. Trump doesn’t understand our state, which is why we are going to send him packing once and for all — and elect Kamala Harris as the next president of the United States.
