Senate Showdown: James Craig and Sandy Pensler Attack “Career Politician” Mike Rogers for Doing “Whatever Benefits Him”

LANSING — Here is what’s in and out for 2024, according to Michigan Republicans. In: having “a complete lack of principles” and embracing dangerous election conspiracy theories. Out: staying in Michigan. The mitten might be in the midst of a winter storm, but the Michigan GOP Senate Showdown is only heating up.

Here’s the latest on this “doozy” of a primary:

  • Finley didn’t stop there, criticizing Rogers for “folding” and “following the pack” by endorsing Donald Trump for President.

See for yourself:

Talk of the Town: Rogers: “What I found is that many states don’t have a full-functioning Republican Party… I hope the party gets its act together.”

Paul W. Smith Show: Nolan Finley: “You know, you read the column and you’ll see, you know, he’s now saying, ‘well, now, you know, there’s always election anomalies and we’ve got to protect ourselves from Democratic shenanigans.’ And, I just think it’s, it’s really unfortunate that folks feel compelled, in order to win a primary, to, you know, to have to cast doubt on the integrity of our election system.” … Paul W. Smith: “Well, he does say in your column among what you just summarized, he did say very specifically, ‘Do I think there are going to be attempts to cheat? I do.’”

Paul W. Smith Show: Nolan Finley: “I just hate to see him [Rogers], you know, folding on this issue and following the pack.”

Talk of the Town: Rogers: “I would dispute your point that there isn’t a clear leader. That clear leader is us… All of those folks are throwing rocks.”
