LANSING — Today marks the anniversary of Dobbs decision overturning Roe v. Wade being leaked which Mike Rogers, Justin Amash, and Sandy Pensler all celebrated as women across the country were ripped from their freedom to make their own personal medical decisions.
All of the Republican Senate candidates support dangerous abortion bans:
- Mike Rogers celebrated the Dobbs decision overturning Roe v. Wade, pushed for “a nationwide abortion ban,” and co-sponsored and voted for anti-abortion bills that would have criminalized and banned abortion. In Congress, Rogers co-sponsored four anti-IVF bills and “repeatedly co-sponsored bills” to suspend FDA approval of mifepristone. Rogers refuses to protect IVF in the Senate and won’t answer for his past fetal personhood legislation votes. If Rogers had “lived in Michigan instead of Florida” in 2022, he would have voted against Proposal 3.
- Justin Amash supported the Dobbs decision overturning Roe v. Wade, supports an abortion ban, is “100% pro-life,” and co-sponsored a bill to restrict IVF. Amash believes that “life begins at conception.”
- Sandy Pensler called Roe v. Wade “terrible” and “tyrannical.” He said that he has “the same position on being pro-life as President Reagan and President Trump.”
