LANSING — Ahead of today’s special election primary in state Senate District 35, Michigan Democratic Party Chair Curtis Hertel released the following statement:
“Today, thousands of Michiganders across Saginaw, Bay, and Midland counties will head to the polls and make their voices heard in the most fundamental aspect of our democracy. We’re proud of all of our candidates and all the work Michigan Democrats have done to get out the vote in the special election.
“As we look ahead to the general election, Michigan Democrats are ready to keep this seat blue and elect a strong Democratic leader to address the kitchen table issues that impact Michiganders most.”
