LANSING — Today, former Congresswoman Brenda Lawrence announced that she is endorsing dedicated public servant Wynett Guy in the Southfield City Clerk’s race. Guy is running as a write-in candidate against MAGA conspiracy theorist Gabi Grossbard who would threaten Southfield voters’ access to the ballot box.
Following her endorsement, former Congresswoman Brenda Lawrence released the following statement:
“After serving the people of Southfield for over 30 years, I understand the value of public service, and I will always want what’s best for the voters of Southfield – without a doubt, that’s Wynett Guy. Not only does Wynett Guy have years of experience and a true passion for the sanctity of our democracy, she also cares about the well-being of the community in Southfield. That’s the kind of person that Southfielders deserve, not some conspiracy theorist who would bow down to Donald Trump at every turn. That’s why I am proud to endorse Wynett Guy for the Southfield City Clerk’s race and encourage voters to write her name in.”
