LANSING — At the beginning of the Iran War, out-of-touch GOP Senate candidate Mike Rogers made the “failing prediction” that the conflict would be over by May 1st. Today, one month after Rogers’ missed deadline, the conflict is still ongoing and Michiganders continue to pay the price at the gas pump.
Meanwhile, Rogers spent last week doubling down on supporting the war that caused Michigan gas prices to skyrocket and has repeatedly dismissed Michiganders’ concerns about paying more at the pump, saying “We’re gonna be fine, we got plenty of oil.”
“Mike Rogers promised the Iran War would end in 60 days—it didn’t. Then he promised Michiganders they’d be ‘fine‘ with skyrocketing gas prices—they’re not,” said Michigan Democratic Party spokesperson Joey Hannum. “Michiganders won’t forget Price Hike Mike’s lies or his indifference to their struggles when they vote him down this November.”
