“Chairwoman Cortez Masto is a fighter and a history-maker, and we are proud to have her as our special guest for MDP’s Legacy Dinner as we honor a man who fought for all of us and helped shape the future well beyond his lifetime of service,” said Michigan Democratic Party Chair Lavora Barnes. “Congressman John Dingell, Jr. is a legend and dedicated his life to serving his district and Michigan, but his is a living legacy that we intend to honor every day as we strive to win every vote in every corner of our state. We look forward to hearing Senator Cortez Masto speak to Michigan’s importance for 2020, not only for beating Donald Trump but together what we can do to ensure Senator Gary Peters is re-elected and continues to stand up for our state alongside Senator Debbie Stabenow in the U.S. Senate.”
