LANSING– The Michigan Democratic Party released the following statement on behalf of Chair Lavora Barnes on Donald Trump’s vow to “terminate health care under Obamacare.”
“Time and again, Donald Trump has fought to strip 720,000 Michiganders of their health care in a desperate pursuit to end the Affordable Care Act. Now, as he erratically swings from crisis to crisis in the face of a global pandemic, he is continuing his relentless war on health care at the expense of Michiganders. Trump’s renewed vow to ‘terminate’ health care for working families across our state just confirms what we already know: Donald Trump is dead set on gutting protections for people with pre-existing conditions and eliminating the critical Medicaid expansion. Michiganders can’t afford four more years of a president who fights every single day to end their health care.”
