The Michigan Democratic Party released the following statement on behalf of spokesman Christian Slater on Donald Trump tanking COVID relief talks as Michigan working families suffer:
“After tanking the Michigan economy with his failed COVID-19 response, Donald Trump is now sabotaging critical stimulus negotiations when our state can least afford it. Without additional stimulus, working Michiganders will lose jobs and unemployment benefits, our schools will face funding shortfalls, and small businesses will shut down. Trump has also ended any possibility of additional stimulus for airlines, putting workers in Detroit and across the state at risk of layoffs. This is a disaster for countless Michigan families who have been devastated by Trump’s erratic leadership and his continued failure to contain this pandemic.”
