Michigan Democratic Party released the following statement from Chairwoman Lavora Barnes on today’s decision by the Court of Claims.
“We are thrilled with the decision from the Court of Claims today. We have been adamant that every single vote in Michigan must count. The decision today to allow for the counting of ballots 14 days post-election, moves Michigan in the right direction. This helps rectify issues with delays from the USPS, while relieving pressure on voters to make sure their ballot is received in time to be counted. This is a victory for every voter in Michigan.”
