After reports of Mike Pence coming to Michigan after the RNCC, Michigan Democratic Party spokesman Christian Slater released the following statement:
“Nothing Pence says to Michiganders can erase the Trump administration’s failed record: historic unemployment, over 100,000 COVID cases in our state, and no path out of this crisis. And Michigan’s working families will never forget Mike Pence’s vote against the auto rescue, a critical program that saved thousands of Michigan jobs that he derided as a ‘profound mistake.’ We look forward to highlighting Joe Biden’s record of fighting for autoworkers and helping to rescue the auto industry, and contrasting it with Donald Trump and Mike Pence’s attacks on Michigan working families.”
