The Michigan Democratic Party released the following statement on behalf of Michigan State Board of Education member Lupe Ramos-Montigny on Joe Biden’s recently released Latino agenda:
“I am proud to see Joe Biden release an agenda dedicated to lifting up Latino families and creating a level playing field for all our communities. This agenda shows Vice President Biden knows education is critical to the Latino community and includes investments in our children’s success from early childhood through high school and college. Biden’s agenda stands in stark contrast to Donald Trump, who has done nothing but demonize the Latino community as he attacks immigrants, leaves Latino communities to suffer disproportionate harm from COVID-19, and fails to invest in Latino-owned businesses and workers. We need a president who will uplift all of our communities, not stoke racial divisions in an attempt to drive us apart.”
