The Michigan Democratic Party released the following statement on behalf of spokesman Christian Slater on Betsy DeVos and Donald Trump’s failed response to COVID-19 and their chaotic school reopening:
“Betsy DeVos and Donald Trump have been a disaster for Michigan parents, students, and educators as they tweet demands and offer no real plans or resources for Michigan schools. These events are more of the same from an administration that has shown reckless disregard for the safety of Michiganders. Up and down the ballot, Republicans including John James have stood by their side as they endanger our communities. We need real leadership in the White House, Senate, and at every level of government that is serious about containing COVID-19 and getting our state back on track.”
