Ahead of Donald Trump’s scheduled rally in Washington Township tomorrow, Michigan Democratic Party Chair Lavora Barnes released the following statement:
“Donald Trump is a failed salesman trying to peddle his right-wing extremism to an electorate that already rejected him. Despite the lies we’ll undoubtedly hear tomorrow, Michiganders chose President Biden—and nothing Trump or the conspiracy theorists he’s endorsed say can change that.
“While Republicans trip over themselves trying to appease the former president, President Biden, Governor Whitmer, and Michigan Democrats are focused on creating thousands of new jobs, cutting taxes for working families, supporting Main Street businesses, and investing billions to rebuild our roads and bridges.
“Michiganders know that Republicans cannot move their state forward, and that’s why they’ll re-elect Gov. Whitmer, Attorney General Nessel, and Secretary of State Benson in 2022.”
