DETROIT — Michigan Democratic Party Chair Curtis Hertel released the following statement today after State Representative Donavan McKinney won the Democratic primary in Michigan’s 13th Congressional District:
“Donavan has spent his career fighting for working families in the labor movement and the Michigan Legislature. He will take that fighting spirit to Congress to make the wealthy pay their fair share, expand access to healthcare and housing, and make sure every Michigander has a fair shot at life, no matter their zip code.
