MDP Chair Lavora Barnes Statement on Donald Trump’s Ongoing Attacks on the ACA

LANSING– The Michigan Democratic Party released the following statement on behalf of Chair Lavora Barnes on Donald Trump’s continued attacks on the Affordable Care Act:

“Donald Trump has broken his promise to protect Michiganders’ health care by leading the charge in a relentless attack on the Affordable Care Act. For over three years, Trump has made it his mission to repeal the ACA so he can gut protections for those with pre-existing conditions and slash Medicaid funding. When he couldn’t repeal it in Congress, he took his fight to the courts in a desperate attempt to strip health care from millions. Make no mistake about it, health care is on the ballot this November and Michigan’s working families cannot afford four more years of Donald Trump’s war on the ACA.”
