The Michigan Democratic Party released the following statement on behalf of Chair Lavora Barnes on Trump’s announced rallies in Grand Rapids, Traverse City, and Washington:
“Donald Trump still doesn’t have a plan to tackle the spread of COVID-19, so he is spreading hate and disinformation in the closing days of this election in a desperate attempt to distract from his flailing campaign. Meanwhile, Democrats will be working relentlessly to get out the vote and let Michiganders know that while Trump has failed them, Democrats like Joe Biden and Gary Peters have their backs. Whether it’s Trump’s erratic trade war, his fight to strip health care from millions, or his disastrous COVID-19 response, Michigan has faced crisis after crisis under this president and we’re going to reject his failed agenda. This Tuesday, I look forward to Michigan sending Joe Biden to the White House, Gary Peters back to the Senate, and electing Democrats up and down the ballot.”
