LANSING — Two-time statewide loser John James’ running mate, pedophile protector Jay DeBoyer, is backing cuts to Medicaid and food assistance—just like James, who voted to cut Medicaid. 

Just five days after being named James’ running mate, DeBoyer endorsed cuts to Medicaid and food assistance during an event in Kalamazoo, according to new reporting from the Detroit Metro Times.

DeBoyer’s support for cuts to Medicaid comes after James ‘led the charge’ and voted for Donald Trump’s price-hiking budget law that cut Medicaid, all to give tax cuts to millionaires like himself. As Michiganders suffer from James’ votes to cut healthcare, he’s benefitting personally from the millionaire tax cuts in Trump’s budget law and he’s enriched himself by making hundreds of stock trades.

James has left the door open to ending Medicaid expansion entirely in Michigan, and he’s previously called for repealing the ACA while labeling it a “monstrosity.”

“John James and Jay DeBoyer have made cutting healthcare a central part of their campaign,” said Michigan Democratic Party spokesperson Derrick Honeyman. “James and DeBoyer are only out for themselves, not the people of Michigan.”
