We are seeking an organized, resourceful, strong communicator to join our growing coordinated campaign team as Trips Associate. This position requires flexible hours and eagerness to assist on any task. We are seeking folks from a variety of backgrounds and professional experiences.
This is a Union position. This position is based in Detroit, Michigan.
Responsibilities
- Coordinating logistics, advancing and staffing a range of events
- Preparing tick tocks, staffing plans and briefing memos
- Leading walk throughs
- Tracking and distributing supplies
- Creating Mobilize event pages
- Proofreading, fact checking, and formatting
- Compiling event data from Mobilize and Zoom post-event reports
- Tracking event metrics in a spreadsheet and creating pivot tables and data visualizations to show trends for senior staff to discuss
- Other duties as assigned, to support the department and organization’s mission.
- This position’s schedule will vary based on the needs of the campaign and point in the cycle and is likely to require evening and weekend work over the course of the election cycle.
Required Qualifications
- Experience with GSuite email, calendar, Drive, etc.
- Excitement about testing, learning, and improving processes
- A positive, get-to-yes attitude
- Comfort with competing priorities and shifting deadlines
- Readiness to learn and grow with a team
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
- Excellent grammar and spelling
Preferred Skills & Qualifications
- Work experience on a primary or general election presidential campaign national advance team or White House advance (associate, volunteer, or full time)
- Expertise in Google Sheets, pivot tables, and data visualization
- Work experience in hospitality, retail, or other customer service
- Committed to electing Democrats up and down the ballot.
This position offers a salary of $5,000 per month based on experience and includes a full benefits package with health, vision and dental insurance.
