We are looking for motivated Regional Political Directors to join our Michigan coordinated campaign team and support the Political and Coalitions Director in building diverse coalitions and mobilizing stakeholders for the 2024 election. Ideal candidates are passionate about political change, have at least one election cycle of experience in campaigns in Michigan, and skilled in community outreach and coalition building. We are seeking people from a variety of backgrounds and professional experiences.
These positions will report to the Deputy Political Director and are based in various regions across Michigan.
Responsibilities
- Develop relationships with impactful grasstops leaders and their organizations
- Execute the campaign’s political and coalitions plan that includes stakeholder management, a coalition outreach program, and a surrogates program
- Track engagement with coalition and political partners
- Manage and strengthen political relationships with allies, elected officials, county parties, and supporters
- Correspond with key coalition groups for grassroots events, earned media, and paid communications opportunities
- Work across departmental structures to integrate key constituency and stakeholder outreach with other departmental tactics to ensure culturally relevant pathways to increasing engagement
- This position’s schedule will vary based on the needs of the campaign and point in the cycle and is likely to require evening and weekend work over the course of the election cycle.

- Strong communication and interpersonal skills and ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive information with tact and discretion.
- Strong strategic planning skills and ability to balance multiple priorities.
- Ability to develop and sustain effective relationships with key people both inside and outside of the organization.
Preferred Skills & Qualifications
- Deep relationships with key stakeholders in state, including campaign work during at least one cycle in state
- Political experience in Michigan
- Experience building and managing coalitions to take meaningful action with the campaign
- Strong understanding of culturally competent community organizing and demonstrated ability to work with grassroots community organizations
This position offers a salary of $5,500 – $6,500 per month and includes a full benefits package with health, vision and dental insurance.
