James refused to sign the bipartisan petition that is now forcing a vote
LANSING — The House of Representatives is set to vote this week on releasing the entirety of the Jeffrey Epstein files after a bipartisan discharge petition—no thanks to John James.
Not only did James side with pedophiles by refusing to sign the effort to force a vote to release the Epstein files, he has remained silent and failed to even call on the Trump administration to release the documents they’re keeping hidden.
The vote this week comes as newly released emails on Donald Trump’s relationship with Epstein have knocked the White House “on its heels,” with Epstein himself having written that Trump had “spent hours at my house” with one of the victims and that the “dog that hasn’t barked is Trump.”
A constituent of James recently wrote in the Macomb Daily how she is “deeply concerned by his silence on the release of the Jeffrey Epstein files.” James’ total silence on the Epstein files comes as he used to claim that he was “leading the efforts in Congress to fight human trafficking.”
“John James never signed onto the bipartisan petition that has now forced a vote, and he’s been silent despite a growing bipartisan chorus calling for the full release of the Epstein files,” said Michigan Democratic Party spokesperson Derrick Honeyman. “James has sided with pedophiles rather than stand up to Trump—showing once again he’ll always put his own extreme political party ahead of Michigan.”
