After getting his MAGA lackeys to kill the border bill that President Biden negotiated, Trump came to Grand Rapids to stoke fear and violence
LANSING — In case you missed it, Trump visited Grand Rapids yesterday to politicize a tragic death and spread lie after lie about his record on immigration. As he sowed fear and chaos with dangerous rhetoric, Trump tried to erase his history of failing to improve border security and standing in the way of progress. He even went so far as to lie about talking to Ruby Garcia’s family following her tragic death – taking advantage of their pain for political gain.
Trump wanted Michiganders to believe he cares about their safety and the situation at the border, but voters know the truth: when President Biden negotiated the toughest, fairest border bill, Trump pressured his MAGA cronies to kill the bill. He doesn’t want solutions for Michiganders, he just wants to push a false narrative to make himself look better.
Thankfully, hard as he tried, Michigan Democrats rejected his lies and set the record straight about exactly who Trump is and what he has done. Across the state and nationally, Michigan Democratic leaders were holding Trump accountable for the damage he has caused and the lies he has spread.

- Trump highlighted Garcia’s death during a speech in Michigan Tuesday, prompting critics to say he is politicizing her murder. Garcia’s sister also rebuked Trump for claiming he spoke with the slain woman’s family, which she said is not true…
