Yesterday, First Lady Dr. Jill Biden made her third stop in Michigan this year to join the Saginaw Chippewa Indian Tribe for a youth mental health listening session and to discuss the critical resources provided to states through the American Rescue Plan.
As a champion for mental health resources, Dr. Biden heard from Michiganders about ways to support youth amid the ongoing pandemic and how resources from President Biden’s American Rescue Plan have gone to schools across the country to ensure students and staff have the tools to navigate complex emotional, physical, and social problems. The First Lady also joined the U.S. Surgeon General Dr. Vivek Murthy during a visit to the tribe’s Ziibiwing Center Museum and guest speaker at Yeshiva Beth Yehudah’s annual dinner.
