FACT CHECK: Tudor Dixon Continues to Push Baseless Conspiracy Theory About Planned Parenthood in Schools in Order to Support Her Dangerous Anti-Choice Agenda

After getting caught claiming that Planned Parenthood has employed a “business model” to “introduce sex” to “7th graders” so they can profit off of “plenty of abortions in high school,” anti-choice extremist Tudor Dixon once again doubled-down on this baseless conspiracy theory.

During a radio interview that took place last week, Dixon – who has been no stranger to manufacturing unhinged conspiracy theories – further fleshed out this outlandish claim:

“I don’t have that exact quote in front of me, but… I don’t like the idea of having an outside influence like that who makes their money solely and I mean, [Planned Parenthood’s] money is made in abortions.”

When pressed to explain exactly how Planned Parenthood was in Michigan schools, Dixon failed to offer any evidence to support her argument.

As was already fact-checked last week by American Independent, Planned Parenthood is a non-profit healthcare provider that, as the descriptor details, does not earn a profit from any of the services it provides.

Dixon’s anti-choice extremism knows no bounds. A staunch supporter of the currently dormant 1931 abortion ban that criminalizes abortion, she has plainly stated that she would was against all exceptions to abortion, even in cases or rape and incest, or when the healthof the mother is at risk.

It could be days until that ban is back on the books in Michigan according to a draft opinion from the U.S. Supreme Court that spelled out the argument for overturning Roe v. Wade. In anticipation of that dangerous outcome, Dixon issued a lengthy statement applauding the potential ruling and further reinforcing her crusade to ban abortions. She also maintained that pregnancy should be forced on women regardless of if it was the result of an “awful circumstance.”

MDP spokesperson Rodericka Applewhaite issued the following statement:

“This isn’t Tudor Dixon’s first conspiracy theory and it most certainly won’t be the last. As has been evidenced countless times this cycle, she is prepared to stoop to whatever low she has to in order to push her radical agenda that endangers women and families. Michiganders deserve leadership that trusts them to make their own decisions and fights for their right to do so.”
