Duggan Air Balls Post, Causing Him To Delete Another

LANSING — After deleting a social media post in February where he claimed to have support from multiple labor unions that have not endorsed his campaign for governor, Mike Duggan has now missed the net on another post—this time causing him to get called out by Michigan State University fans and once again hit the delete button.

When the University of Michigan won the National Championship on Monday night, Duggan posted that “the whole state is one team” and that “every Michigander” was celebrating.

While certainly many Michiganders were celebrating, reactions from Michigan State fans flooded Duggan’s post—with the publisher of Spartans Illustrated posting, “This is most definitely not true, lol.” Another user posted, “I can’t believe a candidate for governor of the entire state of Michigan actually tweeted this lol,” while another response said, “Well I know who Im not voting for.”

By Tuesday morning, Duggan had deleted his post.

“This should have been an easy layup, but Mike Duggan still missed,” said Michigan Democratic Party spokesperson Derrick Honeyman. “Whether it’s making up endorsements that he doesn’t have or aggravating Michigan State fans, it’s clear that Mike Duggan can’t be trusted.”
