“Three years later, where are we? These guys are out of work”
In case you missed it, steelworkers in downriver Detroit were profiled by NBC after parts of a steel plant idled, cutting 1,500 jobs. The steelworkers discussed Trump’s broken promises and an economy driven to crisis by his disastrous agenda.
FROM THE STEELWORKER: “He came to this area and he said if you elect me… you guys will be fighting off orders. Check it out. Three years later, where are we now? These guys are out of work.”
“Donald Trump has broken his promise to Michigan steelworkers and workers across our state as millions lost their jobs, businesses shutter, and communities in our state are devastated,” said Michigan Democratic Party spokesman Christian Slater. “This president’s chaotic leadership has created an economic crisis in Michigan and our workers are paying the price.”
