The Michigan Democratic Party released the following statement on behalf of Communications Director Abby Rubley on today’s Women for Trump events:
“Donald Trump has led a relentless attack on women’s rights as he stands shoulder-to-shoulder with Mike Pence to attack health care and Social Security, force an extremist anti-choice agenda, fight to gut critical protections for maternity care, and fail to expand paid leave or child care in the midst of a global pandemic. As COVID-19 continues to spread because of this president’s failures, women are being disproportionately harmed by the economic fall-out. Donald Trump has done nothing but create crisis after crisis for women in Michigan, and no amount of cheap messaging gimmicks or empty words can change that fact.”
