LANSING– Today, Donald Trump will file briefs at the Supreme Court to strike down the Affordable Care Act, continuing his fight to strip health care from Michiganders during a global pandemic.
If Trump is successful, over 700,000 Michiganders could lose their health care, while over 4 million could lose critical protections for pre-existing conditions. The attack is the latest in a continued effort to strip health care from Michiganders in the midst of a global pandemic that has killed almost 6,000 in the state.
“Even a global pandemic can’t stop Donald Trump’s relentless fight to strip health care from over 700,000 Michiganders,” said Michigan Democratic Party spokesman Christian Slater. “His latest attack is a shameful continuation of a war on health care that will devastate working families in our state.”
