LANSING– Today, the Michigan Democratic Party released a digital video highlighting Donald Trump’s attacks on the EPA and environmental protections.
The video features environmental justice organizer Justin Onwenu discussing Donald Trump’s attacks on clean air and clean water, and his latest proposed budget which slashes funding for the EPA. Despite promising to “work to restore and protect the Great Lakes,” Trump has spent the past three years attacking critical environmental programs and threatening a clean Michigan environment.
“I’m a community organizer based in Detroit. I work with communities to fight for clean air and clean water, and what I’ve come to realize is time and time again, Donald Trump has broken his promises to Michigan voters,” said Justin Onwenu. “He has undermined and slashed funding for programs that communities rely on the most for clean water. He has undermined the EPA’s ability to fight polluters and keep us safe. His budget reflects the fact that he simply doesn’t care. We simply cannot take four more years of Donald Trump and his broken promises. Our environment cannot take it, our health cannot take it, and our state cannot take it.”
