LANSING– The Michigan Democratic Party released the following statement on behalf of Chair Lavora Barnes on Mike Pence’s visit to Michigan:
“Donald Trump just released his disastrous budget, so now he’s sending Mike Pence to clean up the mess and cover for this administration’s broken promises. Let me be clear: Michigan voters aren’t buying it. They know Donald Trump has broken promise after promise as he has fought to gut protections for people with preexisting conditions and strip healthcare from working families, slash Social Security and other earned benefits, and leave farmers out to dry as they are forced to pay for his erratic trade war. We’re going to continue to hold this administration accountable for its attacks on Michiganders and turn every corner of this state blue in November.”
