LANSING — Today, Donald Trump signed an electric vehicle Executive Order, endangering Michigan auto jobs across the state. Despite promises to help Michiganders, Trump’s extremist agenda is already threatening good-paying, middle-class jobs in our state.
“Within just hours of being president again, Trump is once again hurting Michigan auto workers with his electric vehicle Executive Order,” said Chair of the Michigan Democratic Party Lavora Barnes. “As auto workers already know, Donald Trump is one of the biggest threats to the auto manufacturing economy here in Michigan.
“Because of Trump’s presidency, there is no telling how much more damage he will do to Michigan’s auto jobs. No matter what, Michigan Democrats at every level will continue to fight to keep these high-quality, union jobs right here at home.”
