With less than a week until election day, President Clinton joins West Michiganders at GOTV event
LANSING — Today, former President Bill Clinton will speak at a “Souls to the Polls” event in Muskegon Heights before visiting South Haven and Benton Harbor later in the day. Ahead of his visit, Chair of the Michigan Democratic Party Lavora Barnes released the following statement:
“With over two million votes already cast in Michigan, we are thrilled to have President Clinton in West Michigan to encourage even more voters to cast their ballots early for Democrats up and down the ballot. Democrats in West Michigan are fired up to elect Kamala Harris, Tim Walz, and Democrats up and down the ballot like Congresswoman Hillary Scholten – and with President Clinton’s help, we know we can win.
“Michigan Dems are showing up across the state to energize voters and elect Democrats at every level while Trump and his cronies have degraded our state, threatened our jobs, and lied to Michiganders over and over again. Michiganders see right through that charlatan, and I know they will deliver our state for Kamala Harris and Tim Walz this election.”
