Michigan Dems Chair highlights VP’s campaign putting our country over party politics
LANSING — Today, Vice President Kamala Harris will be joined by former U.S. Representative to Wyoming Liz Cheney at a campaign stop in Oakland County. At their public discussion, Harris and Cheney will discuss the importance of rejecting Trump to protect our democracy from his MAGA extremism.
“This election isn’t about choosing a Democrat or a Republican, it’s about choosing who will uphold our democracy over a man who has tried time and time again to undermine it,” said Chair of the Michigan Democratic Party Lavora Barnes. “Representative Cheney and Vice President Harris will come together today to remind Michiganders of how dangerous Donald Trump is to each and every one of us.
“Democracy isn’t won in a single day, it has to be fought for every day. This November, Vice President Harris and Governor Walz are fighting for our democracy against Trump’s misinformation and fear-mongering that threatens our fundamental freedoms as Americans.”
