ICYMI: J.D. Vance Calls $500 Million Dollars and Hundreds of Michigan Auto Jobs “Table Scraps”

Vance digs himself a deeper hole after refusing to commit to protecting Michigan auto jobs

LANSING — In case you missed it, the Detroit News reported that J.D. Vance once again insulted Michiganders and threatened auto jobs calling the grant to protect 650 auto jobs “table scraps.” A Trump-Vance administration will not commit to protecting and creating jobs here in Michigan.

Just like in Trump’s first term, Trump and Vance’s Project 2025 agenda would only help the wealthiest 1% while leaving hard-working Michiganders struggling to pay bills. They don’t care about our jobs or making our economy more fair — they only care about what lines the pockets of their billionaire buddies.

Under Vice President Harris, the federal government has invested billions into our infrastructure and our economy, creating lasting, high-quality jobs. With Harris as president, we will once again see her commitment to ensuring the future of auto manufacturing stays right here in Michigan, where it all started. Michiganders know that if they want to see more jobs coming to our state, then Kamala Harris and Tim Walz are the best choice this November.
