Ahead of his Potterville visit, Chair Barnes highlights how Trump has abandoned Michigan’s working families
LANSING — Today, Trump will visit Potterville to spread lies and misinformation about his economic record that, in reality, sold Michiganders down the river. Ahead of Trump’s speech, Chair of the Michigan Democratic Party Lavora Barnes released the following statement:
“In four years as president, Trump gave out huge tax breaks to the wealthiest Americans and abandoned Michigan families at every turn. His current Project 2025 agenda would raise taxes for working Michiganders by $3,900 every year while giving handouts to his billionaire friends.
“On the other hand, Vice President Kamala Harris has walked with union workers on the picket line, fought to lower costs for working families, and stood up to Big Pharma and greedy corporations who are destroying the middle class and raising costs for Michiganders. There is nothing that Trump can say today that will erase the reality of who he is and how little he cares about hard-working Michiganders.”
