Chair Barnes spoke with Brianna Keilar about the contrast between the candidates and campaigns
LANSING — In case you missed it, last night Chair of the Michigan Democratic Party Lavora Barnes was on CNN’s OutFront to speak about the flurry of visits to Michigan from the Trump and Harris campaigns. Michigan Dems have been hard at work talking to voters about the stakes of the election and the very different visions of the future that Vice President Harris and Donald Trump offer – while Trump’s ground game is nowhere to be seen.
During Trump’s visits, he did what he always does: lie, lie, and lie. This time, he tried to backpedal on the MAGA Republicans’ wildly unpopular all-out attacks on reproductive care — and Michiganders aren’t buying it.
Take it from Chair Barnes, who said it best: “Let’s remember who Donald Trump is: this is the man who bragged about being the reason Roe v Wade fell and this is the man who is going to sign a national abortion ban… We know exactly who Donald Trump is, and exactly what he’ll do if he’s president again.”
