LANSING — Ahead of Trump’s extremist vice presidential candidate J.D. Vance’s sham visit to Byron Center near Grand Rapids today, Chair of the Michigan Democratic Party Lavora Barnes released the following statement:
“J.D. Vance can’t stop making a fool of himself in Michigan as he heads to Grand Rapids to spread more lies and misinformation. Michiganders have made it loud and clear that they aren’t interested in Trump, Vance, Project 2025, or anything else their campaign is peddling.
“Michiganders have no interest in Trump and Vance’s anti-union, anti-worker agenda to rig the economy for the 1%. Trump and Vance don’t care about our values or our families, they just want to take away our freedom here in Michigan — and we won’t let it happen. This November, I’m confident that Michiganders will once again reject Trump and Vance’s dangerous MAGAnomics agenda.”
