Following Pensler’s “major statewide ad blitz” of ads attacking Rogers, Rogers’ total approval rating among Republicans is down nearly 30 points since May 1
LANSING — A new Public Policy Polling (PPP) poll on the GOP Senate primary showing that Mike Rogers’ favorability has taken a nosedive following Sandy Pensler pouring “big bucks into a major statewide ad blitz” in “a seven-figure statewide buy” “that [took] aim at” Rogers.
The poll finds that Rogers is down nearly 30 points in his total approval rating among Republicans compared to the Emerson Poll on May 1. Political commentators have pointed out that Pensler’s “damaging bodyblow ads up against Mike Rogers” “could hurt” Rogers.
Rogers has faced significant backlash from his own party. He has taken “heat from across the GOP spectrum,” including from “25 of Michigan’s 60 delegates to the Republican National Convention call[ing] on Trump to un-endorse Rogers.”
View the poll demonstrating how the messy, chaotic Republican primary has cost Mike Rogers.
